Updating smokes with more features

Full residence old Kidde smokes eliminated and replaced with Hardwired/10 yr battery USI with expanded features. Smokes have been in 2 days. Smooth change out and no false reads as of yet.

Easy installation, no false alarms

I installed two of these as replacements. The installation was simple and we haven't had any false alarms.

Great product. Change every 9-10 years instead of changing batteries every 6 months. Easy to change out old inefficient alarms. Once installed, future replacements take 1-2 minutes to install

Hardwired Smoke Alarm

Item was purchased as a replacement for an expired unit. Unit installed exactly like the one replaced and is working as discribed. I especially like the 10 year sealed battery.

These are the perfect alarm for multi-family units. Tamper proof 10 year batteries and tamper proof mounting. Just set them and forget them, until they tell you it's time to change the alarm 10 years later.

So far so good

Upgraded original home alarms with three of these dual sensor units with 10 year battery backup. 2 units activated with no issues. The third unit failed to beep after pulling the activation tab. And continued to beep once every minute or so. I unplugged the device, pushed the test button again, and it chirped properly. I reinstalled and tested all 3 with no further issues.

The product performed perfectly. Installation only required a quick change of the base mount. The wiring was compatible with the previous model. The 10yr battery was the selling point.

Exactly what I needed

I went to Lowes, Home Depot, and Walmart looking for a fire alarm that I could replace with my old one. None of the 4 I bought had the correct adaptor. The first one I got from USI was perfect. Will be replacing another very soon

Easy to install, no false alarms

I ordered this to replace an older wired smoke detector. I turned off the electricity, removed the wiring harness from the old detector by twisting off the wire nuts and installed the harness from the new detectors. There were no false alarms since I installed it.
