September 21, 2016I am glad to have found the same model of Smoke Alarms that I had in my home. I hope when I have the fire dept. install them that all 5 alarms do not start going off at the same time. This is what happened before. Do you know if there is 1 master unit and if so how can it be determined?

I purchased these smoke detectors because the previous version of them was installed in the house for the last 11 years. Got the latest version and plugged them in after removing the last ones. No wiring required and super convenient.

We did not notice that our hard wired smoke detector had expiration dates until a couple of them began to alarm and would not stop although there was an absence of smoke. These replacements fit perfectly into the casing that were installed 10 years ago with simply joining the connection. Easy fix for expired smoke detectors.
